Practical Endorsement information
For A level Biology, Chemistry and Physics applications, you will only be able to sit the WRITTEN papers at DGC, provided you can show us a Statement of Results and/or an official certificate confirming a practical endorsement PASS from a previous exam series. If you have decided to opt out of the practical endorsement ( meaning you will receive a “not classified” in the practical endorsement which will appear on your certificate), please discuss this with the DGC Examinations Officer before submitting your application form.
Applications for OCR English Literature will only be considered from private candidates who have already received an AS or A level grade in the subject (via OCR), and who want to retake the written papers carrying forward their Non Examination Assessment (NEA) from a previous exam series. A valid Statement of Results, confirming that a mark for the NEA has been awarded in a previous session will need to be shown to us.
Please note that all applications from prospective candidates requiring extra time in their examinations MUST be received no later than Monday 2nd September 2024, supported by valid documentation; please see the detailed notes in our Terms & Conditions (point 3 Access Arrangements).

Please read our TERMS AND CONDITIONS for potential Private Candidates BEFORE making an application. When you register, you will be asked to sign a declaration to the effect that you have understood the Terms and Conditions. Also please read our Privacy Notice on how we use your personal data and how long we retain it.
In order to process your application we ask that you request a Private Candidate Online Application Form. The DGC Exams Office will send you log in details to access the application form. Please ensure that you have completed the form accurately, particularly with regards to the exam board and the subject code. The college will not accept any responsibility for errors and omissions on your part.
Please note that you must also submit the following documentation along with this Private Candidate Application form:
· Passport sized photograph
· Valid photographic ID (passport / driving license etc.)
· Most recent Statement of Results (incl. Unique Candidate Identifier number - UCI no.)
Please note – AQA and OCR A level & GCSE certificates have the UCI number printed on the official certificate as well as the Statement of Results which can be uploaded when completing the DGC application form, Pearson Edexcel does not – only on their Statement of Results. Please do not upload Pearson Edexcel official certificates as evidence of your UCI number.
Note: if you have never taken a GCSE / IGCSE / AS / A level examination before (and hence do not have a Statement of Results from a previous examination session), please do not worry - just mention this to our examinations team when you call or come in to register and they will allocate you a UCI number. The same applies to mature students who last took a public examination ten or more years ago. It is vital that you tell us if you already have a UCI number allocated by another school or college, and provide documentary evidence verifying that UCI number.
So please ensure you have the necessary documentation available when applying online. Once you have submitted your application form, please allow time for the attachments to upload. You will then receive your private candidate examination invoice, which would need to be paid by the date on the invoice.
Thank you for your co-operation. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our exams office on exams@davidgamecollege.com

You will need to complete the DGC Private Candidate Application form. A member of our examinations team will then check the details on the form (correct codes, documentation etc.) and will register the entry if everything is in order. For students aged up to and including 18 only, it is permissible for the student's parent or guardian to come in without the student as long as all the required documentation - including correct entry codes - is brought in.
Please bring with you your most recent official Statement(s) of Results. If you have more than one (e.g. one from AQA, one from Edexcel) it is important that you show us all of them, even if they relate to subjects you will not be taking in your future examinations. This is to enable us to check your Unique Candidate Identifier (UCI) and to resolve any associated problems (for example, if your previous school or college has made the mistake of allocating you a new UCI when you already had one from elsewhere).

Once we have verified all your documentation, you will then be given your private candidate examination invoice, which would need to be paid by the date on the invoice.
For students who have already taken examinations as a private candidate in a previous session at David Game College, please register online quoting your 4-digit candidate number. An invoice will be sent to you by email. This invoice must be settled no later than the following working day (dated on the invoice).
